Job Description

The Assistant Supply Chain Manager position focus includes training in all aspects of Supply Chain Management, which include Purchasing, Inventory Management, Production Scheduling, Storeroom Operations and Shipping. After initial introduction to plant operations, this individual will be trained by Supply Chain Personnel to become proficient in safety, environmental stewardship, negotiations, contracts, computerized inventory, purchasing and maintenance programs, management, and logistics. This job will require communication skills, prioritization, time management, the ability to multitask and a genuine desire to learn. The successful candidate will have a BS Degree in Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Engineering or a similar degree. Knowledge in procurement, computerized purchasing, production scheduling, logistics and inventory systems, with a general knowledge of parts, supplies, raw materials, and accounts payable is helpful. Must possess managerial skills with the ability to communicate and lead teams, understand technical/mechanical specifications and drawings and have computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.
